Community Rules
Grumle is a peer-to-peer recovery space.
These rules exist to protect people, not to control them.
The spirit of Grumle
Grumle is:
- human
- private by default
- supportive
- recovery-focused
It is not:
- social media
- a replacement for therapy
- a place to expose others
- a place for arguments or pile-ons
Please stay focused on personal sharing, not on debating or exposing others.
Core principles
- Talk about yourself
- Protect privacy
- Be honest and be kind
- Strong feelings are allowed; attacks are not
- Safety comes first
If something conflicts with these, it won’t be posted.
Keeping conversations on Grumle
Grumle is a text first recovery space. We do not encourage moving conversations off the platform.
Some features, such as links and images, are limited to protect safety, focus, and privacy.
What’s welcome here
You’re welcome to:
- share your own experience
- be unsure, angry, tired, or stuck
- write imperfectly
- stay anonymous
- change your mind
Struggling is not a violation of community guidelines.
What’s not allowed
To protect everyone, we don’t allow:
- naming or identifying other people
- photos of other people
- harassment, threats, or intimidation
- hate speech or calls for violence
- instructions for harm or illegal activity
These boundaries are firm.
Privacy matters
- No names of others
- No identifying details
- When in doubt, keep it private
Moderators may remove details even if intent was good.
Moderation
Moderation is:
- safety-first
- calm
- transparent
The goal is care, not punishment.
Final note
Grumle works because people protect the space together.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You do need to be respectful.
